“…Tasty snacks included prawn bisque with parmesan crusted baguette toast, or tuna carpaccio washed down with an amazing fresh tropical juice. Bungalows have nice breathing room (lawn and trees) in between and the pool is large, warm, and has a nice water feature. Lounges are under coconut trees and umbrellas (ie lots of shade). There are two more beautiful water features - one large pond near the hotel rooms and another one around the reception area.
Blue Ocean has recently been renovated and our garden bungalow was natural/ smart with wooden venetians to vary the light in bathroom and bedroom etc. (bathroom could use another couple of towel racks for wet towels and swimming costumes). Nice little beach straight out in front with small surf and no rips out to sea. Staffs were lovely, housekeeping will even babysit for an hour or 2 inexpensively.
Breakfast buffet was impressive having both western and local choices and lots of fresh fruit. Twice a week the restaurant puts on an Asian Banquet Buffet - this is great value and top quality and in our experience better that a number of the restaurant choices just out on the street. Cocktails begin at a reasonable US$2.50. It is very central to the Mui Ne hub. Mui Ne itself is quiet without the hard sell of Saigon (lots of sleepy shops with fixed prices), and apparently has its own micro-climate that makes it pretty dry and balmy year round, so kick back with a book while the kids are in the pool and let go.........
This is a place that we will return to.”
