Travellers will find some of the best weather in Vietnam at Mui Ne, perfect for enjoying its gorgeous beach and sand dunes. The weather in Mui Ne is hot and dry pretty much all year, with an average temperature of approximately 27ºC (80ºF). The rainy season is from May to October, but is often light and sporadic. For surfing, the waves are best between August and December, whilst the best time for windsurfing is November to April. Check out the latest temperatures in Mui Ne below with our six-day Mui Ne weather forecast below. Mui Ne is blessed with some of the best weather in Vietnam, making it a popular destination. The climate in Mui Ne is hot and dry for most part of the year and it has the lowest annual rainfall. Outdoor activities like swimming or lounging on the beach are high on tourists' preferences. In the Phan Thiet area, cool ocean breezes make the heat bearable and help with kite surfing and windsurfing.

Mui Ne's tropical climate is particularly suitable for swimming as the water is warm and no wet suits are needed. But be sure to pack lots of sun tan lotion!

The wet season lasts from May to November, with June to August. The central coast, in contrast, is dry between May and October and receives rainfall in the months between December and February. Hurricanes affect the North and Central areas and occur in the months between July and November. Tourists are advised to check beforehand for hurricane warnings, temperatures and humidity forecasts, and prepare accordingly.

The best time to travel

The wet season lasts from May to November, with June to August receiving peak rainfall. The dry season lasts from December to April and is the best time for tourists to visit Mui Ne. While Mui Ne is hot and dry for the most part, February to May is humid and hot. Average temperatures are 27°C and the relative humidity is 79%.

The average temperature is 27°C. Visitors will be comfortable in short pants and short-sleeve shirts during the day. Bathing suits are not appropriate away from the beach and topless bathing is not allowed. Because Mui Ne receives very little rain, it is also sunnier, and thus feels hotter than Nha Trang or Ho Chi Minh City.
